CommercialOffice glazing
Full-height glazing in a working office, photographed after solar control film. The sun is contained and the view over the city stays open.
PrivacyMeeting room partition
- Problem
- A meeting room walled in clear glass, with everything inside it on show to the floor outside.
- Solution
- Frosted film on the partition, run to the height that covers the table and the people at it.
- Result
- Private from the corridor, and still lit by the window wall. The partition itself was not touched.
CommercialMeeting room
Corner glazing in a meeting room after solar control film, with the rooftops and the sky still reading clearly through the glass.
Solar controlApartment window, film fitted
- Problem
- Afternoon sun straight onto the glass of an occupied flat.
- Solution
- Solar control film applied to the existing pane: solution sprayed, film laid, worked out edge to edge.
- Result
- The original glazing stayed in place. Nothing was removed or replaced.
CommercialReception and meeting room
- Problem
- A glazed meeting room standing in the middle of the reception a visitor walks into first.
- Solution
- Frosted film across the lower half of the enclosure, stopped short of the ceiling.
- Result
- The meeting room is screened at seated height while the reception keeps the light and the view.
PrivacyPrivate office, frosted band
- Problem
- A desk sitting against full-height glazing, in view of everything on the other side of it.
- Solution
- A frosted band set at seated eye level and carried across every pane in the elevation.
- Result
- Cover where you sit, sky and skyline above it. Nothing about the glazing was replaced.
PrivacyReception and waiting area
- Problem
- A waiting area behind ground-to-ceiling glass, with people sitting in full view of the building opposite.
- Solution
- A frosted band run continuously across the elevation at the height people actually sit.
- Result
- Seated visitors are covered; standing eye level still has the mountain. The glazing stayed as it was.
Solar controlLoft conversion, roof windows
- Problem
- Roof glazing takes the sun at its steepest angle, and there is no shading above it.
- Solution
- Film fitted from inside the room, with the reveals masked off first.
- Result
- Done without scaffolding or roof access, from inside the finished loft.
Solar controlRoof window, masked and ready
- Problem
- Cutting film above a finished room risks the plaster, the frame and the floor below.
- Solution
- Sheeting taped around the whole opening before anything was cut.
- Result
- The room was handed back clean. Preparation is most of the job.
Solar controlLoft, before the work
- Problem
- A loft with roof windows on more than one pitch, before any work started.
- Solution
- Survey first: how many panes, which way they face, and what the sun does to the room.
- Result
- The scope and the film were settled before a single sheet was cut.
Solar controlRoof window, finished
- Problem
- Roof glazing with nothing above it to shade the room underneath.
- Solution
- Solar control film on the existing pane, worked out to the edge of the frame.
- Result
- The finished pane, photographed with the sun on it. The original glazing is still the original glazing.
Ten seconds of the actual work
Preparation, cutting, laying, edge work. Filmed on the job, not staged, so you can judge the standard of the installation for yourself.
Silent clips. Nothing downloads until you press play.
Same room. Different result.
Drag the line across. Left is before, right is after. Nothing was replaced.

Full-height office glazing before and after solar control film. Same desk, same window, same hour of the afternoon.
